Working behind the scenes, Kathy enjoys the administrative duties of operating the preschool in addition to working part-time as an Administrative Assistant in the church office. Kathy has a past history with South Calgary Community Preschool as both of her children came to the preschool and she was part of the Preschool Board for a number of years. If you haven’t already met Kathy, come by the office on Mondays or Wednesdays to introduce yourself.
Away from the office, Kathy enjoys reading, cooking, gardening and of course spending time with her husband and children.
We are very fortunate to have Erin joining our staff team as a Teacher's Assistant.
Erin is the mother of 2 children, who both attended our preschool.
Erin comes to us with years of experience working with children in many different environments. She was a nanny for several years, has taught volleyball and basketball to school aged children and has also worked within an elementary school. She absolutely loves working with children helping them learn and grow. There is nothing she enjoys more than seeing a smile light up a child's face.
Erin enjoys reading, baking and being outdoors and loves spending time with her husband and two boys!
We are thrilled to have Janna join our team as Lead Teacher.
Janna is passionate about education and encouraging children and their families to build a firm faith foundation. After graduating from the UofC with a BA in Psychology, Janna began working with special needs children through the CBE, New Heights Early Learning Services and LEAD Foundation. She also spent 2 years at Banded Peak School as a Child Development Advisor, working with children one on one and in small groups, exploring academic, social and emotional concerns. She has enjoyed many years of volunteering in early literacy in community schools as well. Most recently, Janna worked as Director and Teacher at Small Hands, Great Treasures Playschool.
When she isn't at work, Janna loves spending time with her husband and 4 children (who all attended our Preschool!), playing outside and reading.
